Former employees of the Crow Tribe are still waiting to be paid more than four years after being terminated from their jobs.
Under a settlement negotiated with the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the tribe agreed to pay $250,000 to ex-employees who filed a grievance and $75,000 to be paid to those who didn't. But the tribe still hasn't paid despite being given several deadlines by a federal mediator, The Billings Gazette reports.
The employees had previously negotiated a severance package after being terminated in June 2000. They were fired when ex-chairwoman Clara Nomee left office.
