Paramedics: Disabled Native man refused help

A disabled Native man who died on a street in Vancouver refused the help of paramedics, an official with the British Columbia Ambulance Service told CBC News.

The official confirmed that paramedics checked up on the man on Saturday night after receiving 911 calls. But the man, who was in a wheelchair, didn't want medical attention, the official said.

Eight hours later, on Sunday morning, paramedics who responded to another 911 call found the man was dead. An investigation has been launched.
