Food bank won't take donation from Lytton Band

A food bank in northern California has returned a $3,000 donation from the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians.

The tribe made the donation after Alameda County Community Food Bank made a televised plea for food or money. Now there's a dispute over the reason why the donation was returned.

According to the tribe's spokesperson, the food bank refused the donation because of controversy surrounding the tribe's casino. But the food bank says the tribe needs to donate to the Contra Costa County food bank because that's where the casino is located.

The tribe disputes the food bank but still plans to donate to Contra Costa County.
