Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) is sponsoring a bill that would add nearly 1,000 acres to the Pechanga Reservation.
The bill would transfer a total of 991 acres from the Bureau of Land Management to the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. The acreage covers two parcels of historic and cultural land.
The bill is H.R.3507.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says it will be considered today.
