Litefoot shares positive message on Rez tour
Tuesday, November 1, 2005
Cherokee rapper/actor Litefoot is taking his positive message to Indian youth nationwide on his "Reach The Rez" tour. Litefoot launched the tour in October and plans to hit 211 reservations. On each stop, he is inspiring young people to take control of their lives. "I had hit rock bottom in my life and was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I started listening to his music," Winter Benton, 24, a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, told The Seattle Times. "Litefoot taught me to be positive and proud of who I am." Reach The Rez is being sponsored by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut and other donors. Get the Story:
