The Alliance of Tribal Tourism Advocates in South Dakota is launching a new campaign to promote tribes to tourists.
"We Want to Make Your Reservation to a Tribal Sovereign Destination," aims to help tribes attract people to their reservations. Tours have been scheduled to the Pine Ridge, Rosebud Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux reservations.
The alliance was founded in 1993 and recently moved its offices to Rapid City to increase its profile. An open house and ribbon cutting will be held today at 4pm at the office on 522 Seventh St. Suite 210.
