A man on the Leech Lake Reservation in Minnesota has been killed, apparently in an attempt to protect his dog, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Warren Tibbetts was stabbed when he tried to stop another man from stabbing his dog. The man was allegedly trying to get Tibbetts' dog and another dog to fight.
The Cass County police apprehended the suspect, who is awaiting formal charges.
