The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists, blessed an Indian family whose father and daughter lost their lives in a recent car accident.
Daryl Dewayne Jack, a 2000 graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University, and Maliah Jack, 4, were killed in a car crash on August 10. The accident occurred near Butte, Montana, as the family was going home after attending a powwow.
Mother Willow Jack, 24, and son Nakeezaka Jack, 6, survived the accident.
Willow said the Dalai Lama told her that "Everything is going to be OK from now on," the Associated Press reported.
