The 12th annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride takes place next week and is expected to attract 180,000 bikers.
The ride starts Friday, September 16, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It makes a stop in Madison, Alabama, before ending on Saturday, September 17, in Waterloo, Alabama.
Rod Wheeler, a Cherokee, started the ride to honor his Cherokee ancestors.
