Tribes begin to arrive for 2005 Canoe Journey

Canoes representing dozens of tribes in the Pacific Northwest and Canada are nearing their final destination in the 2005 Canoe Journey.

An estimated 70 canoes are participating in the trip this year. They are scheduled to arrive on the Lower Elwha Klallam Reservation on Saturday for a six-day celebration August 1-6.

Participants from the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, the host tribe of this year's journey, are being filmed for a documentary.
