The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center is showcasing Native artists from tribes in the Northeast.
The "Northeastern Native American Fine Arts Show" is the museum's first invitational exhibit. It features the works of dozens of artists, whose tribal affiliations aren't disclosed in hopes of breaking stereotypes about Northeastern art.
The show runs through September 4. The museum is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
