An 11,300-acre wildfire on the Colville Reservation in Washington was 85 percent contained as of Thursday afternoon, the Associated Press reports.
Fire crews made progress in battling the blaze. They were able to protect homes from being consumed as flames crept near.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
