Native students get crash course in college prep

Fifty-nine Indian high school students representing 40 tribes attended a five-day "crash course" in college preparation at Harvard University in Massachusetts.

The students are taking part in the College Horizons program. They will learn how to pick colleges, how to improve their college applications and test scores and how to obtain financial aid.

Two other crash courses were held this month at Westmont College in California and Oberlin College in Ohio.
