Members of the Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota voted overwhelmingly on Thursday to recall chairman Valentino "Tino" White.
The vote was 275 to 55 against White, The Grand Forks Herald. The paper said he didn't attend the hearing to face charges of allegations of gross negligence, absenteeism, abuse of authority and failure to conduct meetings in a timely manner,
A special election will be held to pick a new chairman.
