The Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma and its Summer Youth Leadership & Arts Program are sponsoring the Honor the Pawnee Youth Music Festival on July 2.
The festival takes place during the 59th Annual Pawnee Indian Veterans' Homecoming Pow Wow. It features a concert and dance with CultureShockCamp, a Native hip-hop founded by brothers Brian and Marcus Frejo, who are Pawnee and Seminole.
The tribe and CultureShockCamp hope to promote a positive message for Native youth. They will be recruiting students for the Pawnee Nation's new two-year college and workforce development institution set to open this fall.
For more information, contact Crystal Echo Hawk at 918.762.3621/918.820.2808 or Brian Frejo at 405.922.1200.
