The chief judge for the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana has been charged for drunken driving and refusing to take a breath test.

Tribal Court Chief Judge Duane Gopher pleaded not guilty to both charges. They stem from a traffic stop on the Rocky Boys Reservation last week.

Gopher is appearing in tribal court. He remains on the job.
