Hearing set on suspension of Oglala Sioux president

The Oglala Sioux Tribe's council will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 14, to hear a complaint that calls for the suspension of President Cecelia Fire Thunder.

Fire Thunder is the tribe's first female president. She is accused of mismanaging the Head Start program.

The person who filed the complaint is Alberta Iron Cloud Miller, the former director of the program. Fire Thunder fired her in April.

Miller lodged a separate complaint against tribal treasurer Crystal Eagle Elk.
