Reunion honors 72 warriors who were imprisoned

Descendants of 72 tribal warriors who were imprisoned by the federal government in 1875 are meeting for their second annual reunion in Oklahoma.

The reunion honors the 72 Arapaho, Caddo, Cheyenne, Comanche and Kiowa warriors who were sent to Fort Marion in Florida from 1875 to 1878. They were punished because their people refused to be confined to a reservation in western Oklahoma where food was scared.

Organizers expected 300 to 400 people to attend the reunion, which starts tonight and runs through Sunday.
