A small northern New Mexico tribe hopes its new training center will help area residents obtain good-paying jobs in the technology sector.
Pojoaque Pueblo opened the 3,400-square-foot center last October. Initially, it was open only to tribal members but the public can now attend classes on a variety of technology topics.
As part of its technology push, the tribe brought high-speed Internet to the reservation. The center and tribal homes are hooked up to the network.
