Two young members of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona are dead in a bizarre murder-suicide blamed on substance abuse.
Jesus P. Valencia, 17, and Christopher X. Garcia, 15, were best friends who recently started to use drugs and alcohol, family members said. Now, both are dead after a night of partying in which Valencia shot Garcia before turning the gun on himself.
Family members spoke out about the incident in hopes of warning others of the dangers of drugs. "Think of the choices you make in life. Think twice," said Julio Rivera, Garcia's stepfather.
