A former postmaster on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana was sentenced to 10 days of probation and ordered to pay a $10 fine for throwing away junk mail.
Athena Mosxona, 61, said she didn't know refusing to distribute the junk mail to reservation residents was illegal. She said she would "stuff every single box with every one of those things" if she had to do it over again.
Mosxona ran the Heart Butte post office on the reservation for 19 years before retiring early in November after being indicted.
