Famed director Ron Howard has signed a deal to direct "The Serpent and the Eagle," a film depicting the European conquest of the Aztec people in Mexico.
Paramount Pictures will produce the film. It focuses on how explorer Hernando Cortez and his Aztec mistress worked to conquer the Aztecs during the 1500s.
