A prominent Native banker has been appointed to the board of directors for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.
J.D. Colbert, a Chickasaw/Creek who founded the North American Native Bankers Association, will serve a one-year term on the board. He was also appointed to the Economic Development subcommittee.
�I am very excited to serve on the Greater OKC Chamber board,� stated Mr. Colbert. �As Chair of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICCO), I hope to provide a vital communications link between the Greater OKC Chamber, the AICCO and the American Indian business community in central Oklahoma.�
In addition to his role with the AICCO, Colbert is Vice President for Native American Services at Bank2, a bank owned by the Chickasaw Nation.
