Tuesday, February 15, 2005

The Mississippi Band of Choctaws is launching an adverting campaign to tell the tribe's story and dispel stereotypes.
The tribe is a major economic player, owning a number of businesses and a successful casino.
"The story of the Mississippi Choctaws is the pursuit to successfully build a better life for oneself and one's family," Chief Phillip Martin said, according to Associated Press.
The tribe hired The Ramey Agency, a Jackson advertising and public relations firm, to develop a print and radio campaign. The "Choctaw Education Campaign" begins this month and continues into the fall.
