A six-member jury in Florida will be debating the fate of a Miccosukee man accused of killing his two young sons.
Kirk Billie admits driving an SUV carrying the boys, ages 3 and 5, into a canal. But he says he didn't know they were in the car at the time.
Prosecutors said Billie previously made threats involving the children. But they weren't allowed to bring in past acts of violence against the mother of his boys.
The jury could convict him of second-degree murder. The incident occurred off the reservation.
