The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana kicked off the Christmas season on Tuesday with an annual dinner and toy giveaway at the senior citizens center on the Rocky Boy's Reservation.
The holiday spirit will continue next week when the tribe distributes holiday food baskets to all enrolled tribal members. The baskets will contain a turkey, ham and all the trimmings, the tribe said.
The Chippewa Cree tribal council is covering the cost of the food baskets. The tribe has over 4,700 members.
