By a voice vote on Tuesday, the House passed a bill to add 991 acres to the Pechanga Reservation in California.

H.R.3507 will transfer two parcels from the Bureau of Land Management to the Pechanga Band of Luise�o Indians. The land contains sacred rock carvings and is important to the tribe's watershed, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.

The tribe has no plans to develop the land. The bill contains a provision that states: "The lands transferred ... may be used only for the protection, preservation, and maintenance of the archaeological, cultural, and wildlife resources thereon."
