The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans in Wisconsin paid tribute to former president Leonard "Jack" Miller, who died on Saturday, November 5, at the age of 74.
Miller led the tribe for five terms from 1973 to 1977 and from 1979 to 1985. He also served as vice president and on the tribal council.
"He was a good strong voice for the Stockbridge, and for many other tribes as well," said current president Bob Chicks, The Shawano Leader reported.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday.
