The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community held its 19th annual Red Mountain Eagle Powwow over the weekend.
The tribe gave out $25,000 in prizes during the event to dancers and drum groups.
The powwow is named for the Red Mountain on the eastern boundary of the reservation. The mountain symbolizes the home of the Pima and Maricopa people.
