Two Wyoming tribes are considering the creation of a minerals development company to get a better price for their trust assets.
Leaders of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe say contracts that were negotiated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs weren't in their best interests. They say they aren't getting the most out of the minerals extracted from the Wind River Reservation.
The tribes have successfully sued the United States for breach of trust. Some of their claims have been settled for millions.
