The Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota has received a $99,990 grant to support small businesses on the reservation.
The grant is from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program. It will support the growth of entrepreneurs, foster innovation and promote sustainable economic development, the agency says.
The grant will be supplemented by $50,515 in matching funds to provide training and education, technical assistance for new and existing businesses and develop a support system for entrepreneurs who want to do business on the reservation.
