A man from the Leech Lake Reservation in Minnesota was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing to death another man who was trying to break up a dogfight.
Authorities in Cass County say Michael Francis Anthony Wind, a paroled convict, stabbed Warren Tibbetts, 64, on Saturday night. Tibbetts was trying to protect his dog from Wind, who was allegedly trying to force the dog into a fight.
Wind was also charged with a felony charge of violently pitting domestic animals against one another. He stabbed Tibbetts' dog after stabbing Tibbetts, authorities say. The dog was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
