At its first meeting of the year, the Oglala Sioux Tribe's council suspended a school board on the reservation in response to parent complaints.
The council was asked to dissolve the Crazy Horse School Board so that a new election can be held. One council member said the board catered more to adults than to students.
The board will have a chance to make its case at an upcoming public hearing.
