Applications are due March 28 for three Indian Health Service scholarship programs, according to a notice published in the Federal Register on Wednesday.
IHS expects to hand out $7.8 million in scholarships to more than 500 American Indians and Alaska Natives who are interested in entering the health profession. Full-time and part-time students are eligible.
The awards are being made under the Indian Health Professions Preparatory Scholarship program, the Indian Health Professions Pregraduate Scholarship program and the
Indian Health Professions Scholarship program. Requirements are slightly different for each program.
