A disability expert says Native children in Manitoba aren't receiving any specialty care from the Canadian government.
Don Shackel, of the Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre, said the government provides no services to Native children who live on reserves. He said children with disabilities are forced to move off the reserve, where publicly funded specialists are available.
The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is considering a lawsuit against the government for failing to provide adequate health care.
