Patrick Goggles, a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, was sworn into the Wyoming Legislature on Tuesday.
Rep. Goggles, a Democrat, was elected to the district that includes the Wind River Reservation. He said he will introduce legislation that benefits all citizens as well as tribal members
Goggles, executive director of the Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing authority, is the first Indian to serve in the Statehouse in several years. He is one of two minority members.
The Wind River Reservation is home to the Northern Arapaho Tribe and the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. It is the only reservation in the state.
