Morongo Band donates to Habitat for Humanity

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians donated 14 tons of leftover building materials to Habitat for Humanity.

The donation, worth an estimated $40,000, will be used to build homes. Materials that can't be used for construction will be sold to raise money for Habitat.

The excess materials came from the tribe's recent construction of a gaming facility.
