The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado opened a new building to serve as headquarters for some of its businesses.
The Growth Fund building is home to the Red Willow Production Co., a natural gas company, a real estate company and a venture capital division.
The building is named for the tribe's investment fund, whose assets are estimated at more than $1 billion.
The Growth Fund has almost $200 million in real estate holdings in various states. Red Willow, which has helped other tribes with development projects, employs 200 people.
