The House Resources Committee and the House Financial Services Committee are holding a joint hearing this morning at 11am titled "Improving Land Title Grant Procedures for Native Americans."
Rodger J. Boyd, the deputy assistant secretary for public and Indian housing at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Pat Ragsdale, the director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, are on the witness list. The BIA is expected to send another representative.

Also today, at 2pm, the House Judiciary Committte's subcommittee on the Constitution holds an oversight
hearing titled "Can Congress Create a Race-Based Government?: The
Constitutionality of H.R.309
and S.147,
the 'Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act of 2005." The bill would
recognize a Native Hawaiian governing entity.
