An Indian dance group in Iowa won't perform for the National Governors Association's meeting this weekend due to a failed background check.
Two members of the group apparently failed the test. Everyone, including vendors, had to go undergo security screening, an NGA spokesperson said.
The Central Iowa Circle of First Nations said the group should have been told in advance of the checks. The NGA said the group could still have performed without the two members.
