Lac du Flambeau Band bans sale of newspaper
Friday, July 15, 2005

The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa has banned the sale of a local newspaper on its Wisconsin reservation.

Tribal leaders are upset over the way The Lakeland Times is covering the tribe. The tribe pulled its advertising from the paper.

Some tribal members, however, have been sources for the stories in question. They are selling the paper on the reservation.
