The Washoe Tribe is suing Carson City, Nevada, over the approval of a housing development.
The tribe says the 500-home subdivision will harm the environment, public health, safety and cultural resources. The tribe owns the land next to the proposed project.
The tribe's main concern is increased traffic in the Stewart Indian Community south of Carson City.
