After 24 years with the New York City Ballet, Jock Soto, a Navajo/Puerto Rican ballet dancer gave his farewell performance on Saturday.
Soto was born in Gallup, New Mexico, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He began studying ballet at an early and later moved to New York to attend the School of American Ballet [Bio].
At age 40, Soto now plans to continue teaching at the school. He also plans to lecture to Native students.
