The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in Arizona was protested on Monday for raising the rent on low-income housing.
The tribe's housing department recently raised the rents at the Canalside community by 30 percent. Residents who paid $270 will now have to pay $351 while those who paid $250 will now have to pay $325.
Residents called the increase unfair. A meeting will be held next month to discuss the issue.
