The Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma is looking to Illinois for some economic development opportunities.
The tribe is considering building a grain terminal in East Moline at the site of a former plant.
The tribe is also considering a large ethanol/biodiesel plant at the former Savanna Army Depot.
"This is quite an expensive endeavor. We will likely go to Wall Street to finance this project," Principal Chief Kay Rhoads told The Moline Dispatch.
The tribe's ancestral lands are in Illinois.
