The Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota has been awarded $800,000 in cleanup grants by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The tribe will use the money to clean up four sites on the reservation that are contaminated by lead, asbestos and mold. The sites include the Saint Michaels Mission School and the old Fort Totten Hospital.
The money was awarded through the EPA's Brownfields program.
