Navajo farmers hope wet season will help crops

Farmers in the Four Corners area of the Navajo Nation are hoping the recent wet season will lead to an abundance of crops this fall.

The Navajo Agricultural Products Industry, a venture of the Navajo Nation, has 70,000 acres of crops. General manager Tsosie Lewis said recent rains have benefited the farm.

Local farmer A.J. also has high hopes for his 47 acres. He said farming has been part of his family's heritage.
