Navajo students tested in annual Knowledge Bowl

The annual Navajo Knowledge Bowl drew nearly 350 Navajo students from 15 schools across the Navajo Nation.

Students were tested in their knowledge in Navajo language, history and culture. They competed in reading, speaking, singing, spelling and writing contests.

Newcomb High School in Shiprock, New Mexico, took nearly half of the 64 awards.
