Students at the Institute of American Indian Arts in New Mexico are starring in a play they developed about what goes on after powwows.
"Bits of Life" was written by a handful of IAIA students who are participating in a special acting workshop. It addresses topics like 49s and alcoholism.
The 20-minute play will be competing against plays developed by students at seven other tribal colleges. The American Indian Higher Education Consortium will host the competition in Albuquerque.
