Program to help Native teens adjust to urban life

A new program will help students from rural reserves in Manitoba adjust to urban life in Winnipeg.

According to CBC News, between 400 and 500 students from reserves go to the city to attend high school. The new arrivals will meet on a daily basis with others who live there.

Sunshine Wood, 17, a teen from the God's River First Nation in rural Manitoba went missing after moving to Winnipeg to attend school. She disappeared over a year ago.
